The book is organized into following main parts: (1) Innovative materials and technologies in civil engineering; (2 ) sustainable architecture and urban planning; (3) infrastructure and transportation systems; (4) geotechnical and structural engineering; (5) building performance and energy efficiency; (6) disaster resilience and risk management; (7) construction management and project delivery; and (8) case studies and best practices in civil engineering and architecture. The proceedings serve as a valuable resource for academics, practitioners, policymakers, and students alike, providing insights into the latest trends and best practices in civil engineering and architecture.
Prof. Marco Casini is a leading academic in the green and smart building sector. He is an environmental engineer with a Ph.D. in environmental engineering and is an associate professor in Technology of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome where, since 2002, he has been teaching in several masters', Ph.D., and graduate schools on subjects pertaining to energy and environmental sustainability for buildings. Since 2014, he is also a professor at the Italian National School of Administration (SNA)Presidency of the Council of Ministers.



He is member of the Scientific Committee of the Masters degrees in Building Information Modeling, "Digital Twin and Artificial Intelligence. Digital technologies and processes in the built environment" and in Management of Heritage Real Estate, member of the Teaching Council of the PhD in Planning, Design, and Technology of Architecture, and member of the Technical-Scientific Committee on Sustainability of Sapienza University of Rome.
