Award-winning comedian Richard Herring pokes and prods a variety of controversial objects to see if the controversy falls out. Via stand-up comedy, vox pops and interviews, he examines the objects' history, meaning, and significance and challenges our assumed logic and stereotypes.
Over the course of these episodes Richard trains his beady eye on, among other things: the toothbrush moustache, Dolly the sheep, the St. George's Flag and Page 3. Can we reclaim these objects and prise them away from their unfortunate associations? Or should we consign them to the dustbin of history?

Emma Kennedy is a bestselling author, TV writer, actress and presenter. She has written ten books including her bestselling memoirs, The Tent the Bucket and Me and I Left My Tent in San Francisco. She wrote the Wilma Tenderfoot series for children and has also adapted The Tent the Bucket and Me for the BBC, renamed The Kennedys. The Time of Our Lives is Emmas second adult novel.
As an actress Emma has appeared in many award-winning comedies including Goodness Gracious Me, People Like Us and Miranda. Emma won Celebrity Masterchef in 2012 and is a Guinness World Record holder.

Richard Keith Herring (born July 12, 1967) is a British comedian and writer. Herring's comedy has included stand up, comedy plays, radio comedy and several TV shows. Herring has worked with a number of other comedians, most notably with Stewart Lee, as part of Lee and Herring. Other works include the radio series, That Was Then, This Is Now and various live shows including the acclaimed Talking Cock and the resulting book of the same name. He has also had a successful collaboration with Andrew Collins who worked with him on the radio comedy series Banter; and hosted Herring on Collins's 6Music show; and a well reviewed podcast.
