THOMAS STEWART attended the University of St Andrews between 2011 and 2015, graduating with a First Class in Modern History. He then went achieve a Distinction in an MSc in Contemporary History at the University of Edinburgh from 2015 to 2016. In September of 2016, he began working on his PhD thesis entitled 'Political Change and Scottish Nationalism in Dundee 1973-2012'. At the beginning of 2018, he established the Scottish Parliament Oral History Project on which his book, The Scottish Parliament in its own Words: An Oral History, is based, conducting over 80 interviews with current and former MSPs.
