This book is an academic platform that brings to the fore various issues vis-à-vis the teaching of English in Morocco. It provides insightful findings and important implications for the educational landscape, including teaching practices in both secondary and tertiary education. As such the book will be useful for teachers, university professors, researchers and stakeholders. The findings obtained in each contribution are in line with many recent trends in English language teaching which aim at meeting the expectations of the 21st century learner.
Dr Karim EL Hiani is an Assistant Professor at Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Morocco. He received a doctorate in Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Communication from the Faculty of Letters and Humanities in Rabat, Morocco. He has published a number of academic articles in the areas of intercultural communication, language teaching and learning, ESP and quality assurance. Dr Naima Trimasse is an Associate Professor at the department of English Studies at Ibn Zohr University, Morocco. She holds a PhD in Education from the Faculty of Education, Rabat, Morocco. Her research interests include second language acquisition and language teaching.
