His first television series was Island Race for BBC2, in which he sailed round Britain with John McCarthy and Sandi Toksvig as his crew, his next series Boatyard was shown on Discovery and is often repeated on Quest, and his more recent series The Boats that Built Britain was shown on BBC2.
