Kirby presents an identification key and reference to the more common species of wildflowers in an area surrounding the city of Gaborone, selecting the 332 species from established references. Some alien species are included, and marked as such. Color photographs--usually more than one--are accompanied by information on the English and Tswana names and their origins, the kind of plant, height, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruit, and miscellaneous notes on such matters as use or dangers.
