This edited book collects chapters from all over the world to reflect on diverse experiences of quality assurance in higher education in addition to examining its historical evolution and the major concepts pertaining to it. Successful and challenging models and their stories are highlighted, providing the reader with various perspectives considered to bridge gaps in understanding, implementing, and establishing sturdy quality systems among nations. Differences in higher education development appear in the way quality management systems are adopted in their higher education institutions. This book showcases some differences and similarities in the way quality is assured while discussing dilemmas and debates that ensue from the adoption of different models. The target audience of the book includes higher education stakeholders, relevant organizations, professionals from relevant fields, researchers, etc. Further, the book appeals to the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), the diverse international accreditation bodies, the world commissions relating to quality assurance in higher education, and the HEIs' Quality Assurance Units/Departments.
Moez Marrouchi holds an MA in English Language with more than 18 years of experience at the tertiary level. He is the author of With All My Heart: A Play of Five Acts and a number of book chapters and articles on quality assurance in higher education and Shakespeare. Marrouchi is finishing a PhD on quality assurance practices in Oman Higher Education with a Macro-Meso-Micro Approach from the University of Malaysia Perlis.

Harshita Aini Haroon is a Professor of Linguistics at the Faculty of Business and Communication, University of Malaysia Perlis. With an illustrious career spanning over two decades in higher education leadership, she currently serves as the Director of the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), Malaysia. Harshita's extensive experience in strategic planning, quality management, and leadership in higher education has equipped her with a unique perspective and a profound understanding of the sector's challenges and opportunities. She is dedicated to fostering environments where academic institutions can thrive and achieve excellence.
